About the Artist:
 
Krismar Hanson Zähringer was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on February 5,1951. She studied art for 2 years at Luther College in Decorah, IA and then transferred to the University of Iowa where she continued her art major but also added art history and religious studies, graduating with a double BA in both art and religion. For 2 years she worked at home in Chicago as a free-lance graphic illustrator. She then joined a Chicago advertising agency where she worked for 6 years as account executive and art/copy director. She moved to Munich, Germany in l984 where she still resides. She has had 3 one-woman shows; one sponsored by the “Munich Cultural Center” and the other two in local galleries. She has a winter residence in Channel Islands Harbor, CA where she also participates in regional art shows and fairs.
